FST COVID-19 Update – 24-03-20
Dear Fire Service Family,
With increasing concern regarding the COVID-19 Corona virus outbreak and in these uncertain times, we will continue to work hard to deliver our Charity’s services and provide for our beneficiaries over the challenging weeks ahead.
Our FST staff team are now working from home and as the situation regarding Covid-19 is constantly changing, we know that good information is vital.
We are mindful that the COVID-19 news is very fluid and changing rapidly. We will provide regular updates on news which impacts on FST’s services.

We are aiming to keep a strong connection with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and will also network with other national, regional and local agencies and charities to keep up to date with the latest new developments & resources available, to assist our beneficiaries and local communities.
We will endeavour to make sure our beneficiaries and supporters are kept informed and have access to FST services in the following ways:

We will continue to provide financial support via our FST Bereavement and Hardship Grants. We will also help anyone who is concerned about accessing local information or services and signpost and connect them to sources of local support and assistance.

3. FST Respite Services
Myramar Del Sol, Costa Mijas, Spain
Our respite apartment facility in Spain is closed until further notice, as the Spanish Authorities have extended their COVID 19 restrictions on public travel and movement until April 15th 2020.
We will monitor above and notify all guests who were planning to visit the apartment this year, of the latest Spanish Government guidelines and developments.
McMurray Cottage, Portpatrick
Following the latest Scottish/ UK Government guidelines on travel restrictions, our respite cottage will be closed for usage, until further notice.
We will monitor above and notify all guests planning to visit the Cottage over the next 6 months, of the latest Scottish/ UK Government guidelines.
