As a Charity, we receive no regular external funding, other than financial support from SFRS personnel and public donations. Without charitable contributions we cannot continue to provide current services and fund future initiatives to assist our Fire Service colleagues and their families.

Around 90% of our donations are received through the generosity of serving employees of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Without their support, the Family Support Trust would not exist and a valuable link to the Fire and Rescue Service members and their families would be lost.

As a serving or retired member of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (and SFR and its predecessor organisations), your assistance is vital.  You can make a one off donation or provide us with much needed on-going support, by contributing just £1.25 per week.

Make Your Donations Go Further - Gift Aid It !

As a supporter of SFRS Family Support Trust, you will know how hard we work to ensure that every penny we raise goes as far as it can to help past and present Fire Service personnel and their families, in need of support and assistance. We encourage all donors, to Gift Aid their donations. It's quick and simple and comes at no extra cost to you. This allows our Charity to reclaim the tax already paid, from HMRC.

How does it work?

So long as you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid enables you to boost the value of your donations by 25p for every £1 you give. This means a £5 donation will be worth £6.25, a £10 donation will be worth £12.50 and a £100 gift will be worth £125.

What do you need to do?

To donate through Gift Aid, all you need to do is complete a simple declaration or tick a box, confirming that you are a UK taxpayer and that you are happy for us to claim tax relief on your donation. Just one declaration can apply to all donations that you have made to us over the past 4 years and to any forthcoming gifts you make, until you notify us otherwise. It's that simple!
