Remembering SFRS Family Support Trust in your Will is a worthy and enduring way to help us achieve our vision of supporting Fire Service colleagues and their families, for many years to come.
We receive no regular statutory or lottery funding which means donations and gifts in Wills are an important source of funding for the continued delivery of our charitable services.
If you choose to leave 10% of your net estate to charities, your Inheritance Tax on the rest of your estate is also reduced by 10%.
A gift in your Will helps us to ensure that SFRS Family Support Trust is “aye ready”- always there, in years to come.

Legacy Donation
FST is proud to acknowledge a legacy donation, received a few years ago, from the estate of the late Miss Mora Georgina McMurray, from Ayr.
After careful consideration of how best to use this wonderful gift, it was agreed that we would invest monies in a Scottish respite facility. This would allow Fire Service personnel and their families, experiencing health and personal issues and who may find difficulty travelling abroad, to visit our Spanish facility.
FST took ownership of a traditional property at the end of March 2018, situated in the picturesque West coast village of Portpatrick and has recently re-named it “McMurray Cottage”, in memory of our very generous Benefactor.
